Collecting remains from a former Japanese military convoy lying in the Truk Atoll.

In the early morning of February 17, 1944, Truck, one of the most important strategic bases of the Imperial Japanese Navy, was attacked by a large fleet of the U.S. Task Force 58 with 9 aircraft carriers, 6 battleships, 10 cruisers, 40 destroyers, and 9 submarines. A large number of transports sank to the bottom of the sea with many generals on board. Forty years have passed since then, and by July 14, 1984, the remains collection team organized by the Health and Welfare Ministry's Relief Bureau had retrieved 219 remains from the sunken vessels.
