Dalmatian algyroides
Close-up view of a female dalmatian algryroide (Pisaura mirabilis) basking on a wall in the British cemetery on the island of Corfu. These lizards are distinctive by the keeled v shaped scales across the flank and tail. The males have a blue throat and greenish undersides though this is highly variable. This species is found across the Adriatic down to western Greece. Photographed in Corfu, Greece, in July.
