Brady's reagent
Brady's reagent (2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine) reacting with propanone in a test tube. Brady's reagent is used to indicate the presence of aldehydes or ketones in solutions. In the presence of aldehyde or ketone groups, yellow crystalline hydrazone derivatives form. This is a late stage of the reaction, for an early stage see A500/531.
