Tetracaine drug crystals

This drug, also known as amethocaine hydrochloride, is a potent local anaesthetic of the ester group and acts by blocking sensory nerve endings near the site of application. It is mainly used topically, in ophthalmology (eye surgery) and as an antipruritic (relieves itching). It is also used in spinal anaesthesia.
