Bacterial regulator-DNA complex
Bacterial regulator-DNA complex. Molecular model of a complex formed between a bacterial regulator called SarA (blue and green) and a fragment of DNA (pink and yellow-orange strands, deoxyribonucleic acid). SarA is the staphylococcal accessory regulator, a protein that binds to RNA and DNA, helping to determine the virulence of an infection by the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium. This bacterium causes skin, intestinal, and respiratory diseases.
