Drug delivery liposomes, TEM
Drug delivery liposomes, coloured transmission electron micrograph (TEM). Some drugs need to be transported to a specific part of the body before they can be allowed to take effect. This is done using artificial liposomes, microscopic bubbles made of a phospholipid bilayer membrane, that carry drug molecules to be released at a target site.
