Zodiacal light over chapel
Zodiacal light over chapel. View of the night sky over a chapel on a coast, with a photographer at far right. This image was obtained during astronomical twilight, 20 minutes before the start of the real night. The sky is dark enough (with a few red hues on the horizon) to show the diagonal zodiacal light either side of the bright planet Venus at centre. The Pleiades star cluster is just above Venus. The constellation of Orion is just above the chapel. The faint arcing band of the Milky Way is also visible. This is the 17th-centry chapel of Saint-They. Photographed in April near Cleden-Cap-Sizun, on the west coast of Finistere, in Brittany, France.
