Teriparatide drug molecule
Teriparatide. Molecular model of the drug teriparatide (C181.H291.N55.O51.S2). This drug, sold under the brand name Forteo, is the only bone growing agent indicated for use in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis at a high risk for fracture or with a history of osteoporotic fracture, patients with multiple risk factors for fracture, and for patients who have failed or are intolerant to other available osteoporosis therapy. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue), oxygen (red) and sulfur (yellow).
