Propanone in reagent bottle
Laboratory stoppered glass bottle and beaker of propanone. Also known as acetone, this is a type of chemical called a ketone. Used in the laboratory, it is highly flammable solvent. The current UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) labels indicate that this chemical is harmful and flammable (GHS07, GHS02). As well as the symbols there is a signal word and suppliers provide numbered statements H225, H319 & H336 that give more information.
