Students performing a titration
Chemistry experiment. Students performing a titration, which is monitored by a computer via a temperature probe (lower right). The computer makes it easier to determine the end point of the reaction by displaying the temperature over time on screen (upper left). Titrations require a measured volume of a solution from a burette (down centre right) to be dripped into a conical flask containing a measured volume of a reactant solution. It is then possible to determine what volume of a solution is required to react quantitatively with another.
