Mock vaccination
Mock vaccination. General practice (GP) doctor vaccinating a soft toy. He is using the toy as a visual aid at a vaccination clinic for young children. Vaccination provides long-term protection against a range of infectious diseases. The injection of a killed or weakened micro- organism causes the response of the immune system to be stronger when infections occur in the future. Many vaccinations are routinely given during childhood including those against mumps, rubella and measles viruses.
