Virtual reality display, Mont St Michel
Virtual reality display. User interacting with a virtual reality display of a corridor in Mont St Michel, France, an island famous for its abbey and other examples of medieval architecture. Virtual reality (VR) is where a person interacts with a computer-generated reality, usually for training, leisure or educational purposes. The person wears goggles that depict the environment in which they are moving. Some VR systems have additional sensors that integrate the person's actions into the display, such as with the controller being used here. This display is part of the annual exhibition and conference on VR held in Laval, France. Photographed in May 2003.
