Diver exploring a Blue Hole
Diver exploring a Blue Hole. This complex of tunnels and deep cuts in the reef was most likely formed during the last major ice age when lower sea levels left reefs exposed to erosion by rain. Once sea levels began rising, an intricate cave system was formed which can be accessed through a Blue Hole in the reef flat. Photographed in Wunvi, West Papua in Indonesia, Asia.
