Giraffes drinking
Giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis) drinking from a waterhole. These are the tallest of all terrestrial animal species. They can measure up to 5.5 metres tall and weigh 900 kilograms. They range throughout sub-Saharan Africa and feed on leaves, utilising their long necks to reach leaves that other animals cannot. Photographed near Halali, Etosha Pan, Namibia.
