Moon over Laigu Glacier. Milky Way and a waxing crescent Moon shining above Laigu Glacier in Qamdo Prefecture, Tibet, China. Laigu Glacier is the joint name for a group of glaciers. It is one of the three largest glaciers in the world. The name Laigu comes from a nearby Tibetan village. The Milky Way is our galaxy seen from the inside, forming a band of stars and nebulae stretching across the sky. Photographed on 18 October 2015.
