Hiatus hernia, CT scan
Computed tomography (CT) scan of the chest of a 50 year old patient with chest pain showing a hiatus hernia in the left chest with displacement of the mediastinum to the right. A hiatus hernia is the protrusion of part of the stomach into the thorax through the hole in the diaphragm (hiatus) that the oesophagus normally passes through.
