Freecaster Shinbo Rescued by Maritime Self-Defense Forces in a Distress Accident
Jiro Shimbo shed tears at a press conference. Mitsuhiro Iwamoto, 46, a blind acupuncturist and moxibustion therapist, and Jiro Shimbo, 57, an anchor for Yomiuri TV (Osaka City), were rescued by a MSDF rescue flying boat that landed in the area at 5:53 pm on March 21, after they went missing while crossing the Pacific Ocean on a small yacht and requested rescue from the 2nd Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Shiogama, Miyagi Prefecture).
