SB Group Joint Disaster Drill Balloon-type base station also made an appearance
On February 27, SoftBank, eAccess, and Willcom conducted a joint disaster response drill to prepare for a large-scale disaster such as an earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area. Mobile base station vehicles, satellite phones, and other equipment were displayed, as well as Japan's first balloon-shaped telecommunications base station for a telecommunications carrier, in Koto-ku, Tokyo, on the afternoon of February 27, 2014.
