Yokohama Condominium Tipping Issue Asahi Kasei president and others apologize at press conference

The Japanese construction firm apologized and answered journalists questions during a two hour conference about the involvement of subsidiary, Asahi Kasei Construction Material Corp., in defective concrete piling work and data falsification for a tilting condominium building in Yokohama south of Tokyo. Asahi Kasei will check the subsidiary's piling work data for other buildings in the past decade and has promised to rebuild the tilting apartment block.
