Epimetheus
Epimetheus. Cassini spacecraft image of the Epimetheus, one of Saturn's moons. This small irregular-shaped moon measures 116 kilometres across. The crater at lower centre is Hilairea, which has a diameter of roughly 33 kilometres. The orange feature at lower left is the crater Pollux. The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft was launched in 1997 to investigate Saturn, its rings and its moons. This image was taken at a distance of 74,600 kilometres on 30 March 2005.
