World Heritage
Celebrating some of the Wonders of the World.
A World Heritage Site is a place of either cultural or physical significance. These are recorded on a list maintained by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
There are currently some 890 sites listed around the globe. Of these 176 are natural and 689 cultural with 25 mixed properties. The greatest concentration is in Italy where there are 44 World Heritage sites on the UNESCO list.
Aflo and our photographers love lists and we try to provide a searchable database of the most beautiful images of as many of the sites as we can. We update this regularly as new sites are added to the list and in rare cases some are removed.
