Afloimages.com is the international division of Aflo Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest providers of still and moving imagery. Aflo offers over 3 million still images and video clips for commercial uses. We source and create Rights Managed images, Royalty Free images, subscription images and editorial content for clients worldwide 24/7 via our ecommerce website www.afloimages.com.

Aflo works with a select group of photographers and production companies Our editors select the best of this material and our website is updated daily with new content.

Our strengths include a comprehensive collection of fully released sporting imagery using real athletes and cleared for commercial use, and a library covering the best travel images from inside and outside Japan.

We also shoot editorial images and video and are always looking to introduce interesting stories from Japan. We are also the official reseller for image content from the Mainichi Shimbun, one of Japan’s oldest and most prestigious newspaper groups.

Aflo works worldwide
Aflo is based in Japan with offices in Tokyo and Osaka. We employ a multinational staff of 110 and source and supply visual content globally. We license our own material directly through our website and also put our own branded image collections through an international network of distribution agents.

Meet the Team

Mark Eite, Director of Business Development

Originally from the UK, Mark Eite moved to Japan in 1996. His first job was on the JET Teaching Programme before he joined Citibank where he managed multinational corporate accounts. His love of photography and "the beautiful game" led him to Aflo in 2002 at the time of the FIFA Soccer World Cup. Since joining Aflo, Mark has helped the company to triple in size growing its editorial businesses where it is now a market leader in news, sports and entertainment content in Japan. He is directly responsible for Aflo’s international businesses including NipponNews.net. Mark loves running, cycling, and J.League soccer, and is currently addicted to Insatgram.

Kenichi Soga, International Content Supply Manager

Ken was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He’s been with the company since the very early days, experiencing the economic bubble, soccer world cup and the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. Educated in the United States, he brings a wide range of expertise in the photographic agency world. He speaks Japanese and English fluently.

Francesco Libassi, Picture Desk

Francesco is originally from Parma, a small town in the northern part of Italy and moved to Japan in 2007. Working as a photographer, he also has a die hard passion for web design and all things digital. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar (he’s Italian) and traditional Japanese instruments such as the Shakuhachi flute that he proudly owns. At Nippon News, he works the picture desk to coordinate photo shoots for our photographers and helps manage the growing number of editorial content the company produces on a daily basis.
