At a press conference held at the Japan Press Club, SoftBank team chairman Sadaharu Oh shared his memories under the theme "What was the Heisei Era? In 2000, when he was manager of Daiei (now SoftBank), he and the Giants, led by then manager Shigeo Nagashima, met in the "ON Series" in the Japan Series, losing 2-4, but he said, "The year 2000 was a special year for me, when I got to fight with Mr. Nagashima for Japan's No. 1 title.
