Steve Jobs (date of shooting unknown)
Steven Paul Jobs, computer entrepreneur, photographed in the automated factory of NeXT computers, Fremont, California. In 1976, at the age of 21, Jobs co-founded Apple Computers with Steve Wozniak. In 1985, after Apple had become a billion-dollar company, Jobs was forced out - only to begin plans to launch his next venture, the NeXT computer. Similar in appearance to a conventional personal computer, the NeXT performs like a workstation linked to a mini- or mainframe machine. Like other workstations, it uses the UNIX operating system to run a powerful array of processor chips & an optical memory system. The NeXT computer was launched in October 1988.
