. Coronary care: nurse giving an intravenous injection to a man recovering from a heart attack in a hospital coronary care unit. The drug is being administered through a semi- permanent 'butterfly' valve inserted into a vein in the man's wrist. The horizontal green line on the heart monitor machine at right is an artefact of the photograph's exposure time. In reality, a horizontal green line on such an instrument is indicative of death.
