. Flu/Hepatitis A inoculation. General practice nurse gives a male patient an intramuscular injection in the arm to vaccinate against influenza (flu) and Hepatitis A. Both flu and Hepatitis A are viral infections. Gamma globulin (antibody) injection gives temporary immunity against Hepatitis A. There are a variety of influenza strains, of which only the type C virus can be vaccinated against to provide life- long immunity.
