Here its surface epithelial cells are seen stained pink and forming cavities (white) which open to uterine glands. Adenocarcinoma cells are seen as long-irregular shaped cells with large nuclei which are invading the uterus surface and its glands. Endometrial adenocarcinoma is the most common cancer of the uterus, which usually occurs in post-menopausal women. Tumour cells can spread rapidly. Treatment may include surgery and use of anticancer drugs. Haematoxylin and Eosin stained cells. Magnification: x100 at 35mm size.
