Genital chlamydia infections include urethritis (inflammation of the urethra) and cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix). Severe infections may cause infertility. Chlamydia is transmitted by sexual contact. It can be treated with antibiotic drugs such as tetracycline or erythromycin. Magnification: x2500 when printed 10cm wide.
