The long thin antennae upper centre and palps lower centre are sensory structures. Two of the mosquitos legs lead off to top right and centre left. The body green has wings attached to either side. The proboscis not seen is a needle like structure used by the male to feed on plant liquids, and by the female to feed on mammalian blood.
