'Folies De Carnaval', late 18th-early 19th century. Riotous carnival scene with Parisian caricatures: 'Ah! c'Cadet là. Quel pif qu'il à. Ah! c'Cadet là quel pif.' ('What a conk!). A large-nosed man wears a barrel with a tap dispensing liquid. He carries a masked figure who is defecating into a type of wheelbarrow pushed by a man in the costume of Il Dottore from the Commedia dell'Arte. [Martinet, Paris]
