Members of the Our Republican Party rally to demand release of former South Korean President Park Geun-Hye in Seoul

Rally by the Our Republican Party, August 24, 2019 : Supporters and members of the Our Republican Party march after a rally demanding release of former South Korean President Park Geun-Hye in Seoul, South Korea. The Our Republican Party is former Korean Patriots' Party and it supports the former President Park. A Seoul appellate court sentenced Park to 25 years in prison in August 2018 as she was convicted of conspiring with her longtime confidante Choi Soon-Sil in forcing local conglomerates, including Samsung, to donate tens of billions of won to two nonprofit foundations under Choi's control. Choi was sentenced to 20 years in jail. The Supreme Court of South Korea will hand down the final verdict on August 29, 2019 on Park, Choi and Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-Yong in a high-profile corruption scandal.
