Daisuke Tsuda Director of pulled art exhibition in Nagoya speaks at FCCJ
September 02, 2019, Tokyo, Japan - Yuka Okamoto one of the organizers of the 'Non-Freedom of Expression Exhibition' speaks during a news conference at The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan. The artistic director spoke about the ''Statue of a Girl of Peace'' which was removed from the exhibition section of the festival titled the 'Non-Freedom of Expression Exhibition at Aichi Triennale 2019' due public pressure. The statue symbolizes the ''comfort women'', many of them Koreans, who were forced to work in Japanese military brothels during World War Two. After concluding Daisuke Tsuda, Artistic Director of Aichi Triennale 2019's conference three organizers of the 'Non-Freedom of Expression Exhibition' expressed their point of view to the media.
