Aomori Nebuta Festival begins
The Aomori Nebuta Festival, a colorful summer festival in the Tohoku region, opened in Aomori City on March 2. Fifteen large, powerful Nebuta floats, each approximately 5 meters high and 9 meters wide, were unveiled at the festival. The dancers called out "rassera, rassera" as they danced wildly to the music of flutes and drums, drawing loud cheers from the tourists filling the streets. Published in the morning edition of the same month on August 3.
