In his Tohoku dialect, he rubs his stomach, saying, "I ate a lot of natto (fermented soybeans) this morning, my favorite food, for the first time in a long time. Miyake won the gold medal in the afternoon match at the athletes' village in Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, on October 12, 1964.
