Great East Japan Earthquake Operation Friends
Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit move pallets of supplies during a humanitarian aid and disaster relief mission, March 23. Navy and Marine Corps involvement is part of a larger U.S. government response, coordinated with the government of Japan's ongoing relief efforts, after a 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck Japan causing widespread damage.
