Chiba Prefectural Assembly Election
No Polling Held in Urayasu
April 10, 2011, Urayasu, Japan - There is no local election in Urayasu, a badly damaged city east of Tokyo, where manholes remain jutted from the ground, walkaway flagstones are left scattered, utility poles and traffic signal light stanchions stand leaning on Sunday, April 10, 2011. The Chiba prefecture's election administration commission called for the election to be held on Sunday as scheduled, but the city refused to go along because of the huge damage it suffered by soil liquefaction in the March 11 earthquake.
