Vice President apologizes for the leak
May 1, 2011, Tokyo, Japan - Kazuo Hirai, President of Sony Entertainment, explains a breach of security during a news conference at its headquarters in Tokyo Hirai, along with two other executives, apologized for the breach in the company's PlayStation Network that caused the loss of personal data of some 77 million accounts on the online service. Sony has said it has contacted U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation to look into what the company called "a criminal cyber crime. What the company called "a criminal cyber attack" on Sony's data center in San Diego, California.
