June 1, 2011, Okumamachi, Japan - Water treatment tanks are ready for operation at Fukushima No.1 nuclear plant in Okumamachi, Fukushima Prefecture, some 210km northeast of Tokyo, on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Workers with Tokyo Electric Power Co, the plant operator, are struggling to move more than 100,000 tons of water pooled beneath the crippled plant into temporary storage tanks in their latest attempt to prevent a massive spill of contaminated water into the environment. Or else, there will be more radioactive spillage into the sea later this month. The photo was released by TEPCO on Saturday. (Photo by TEPCO/AFLO) [0006] -mis-
