FIRST WORLD WAR, WAR'S GARDEN
WORLD WAR FIRST war garden: the Valentino cultivated by the 23rd Territorial Militia Battalion, five pairs of oxen yoked to the plows. The lack of food, in addition to generating rationing, evokes the need to transform every cultivable land into a food production area; to the military the task of being an example for the citizens. In the background the bridge on the Po named after Umberto I, a small embarkation and the baroque church of Santa Maria al Monte dei frati Cappuccini. Turin 1915-1918
