Completion of the Naniwa Great Drainage Canal, a main sewerage artery / Osaka City
The Naniwa Great Drainage Canal, the largest sewage trunk line in Japan, which the city is constructing to prevent flooding in the southeastern part of Osaka City, has been completed. Rainwater harvesting has begun in the 6.7-km stretch between Uriwari-Tachikake and Nagai-Tachikake (Nagai-Tachikake, Higashi Sumiyoshi Ward, Osaka City).
