Shimonoseki Fire Mountain Signal Light Protecting the safety of navigation in the Kanmon Straits/Yamaguchi 1956
The Kanmon Strait is a "sea corridor" to China and the Soviet Union. On the Dannoura coast, the famous old battlefield of the straits, there is a JCG ship communication signal light on a mountain of fire. The red neon light, 3200 watts, turns the surface of the sea, mountains, and national highway in the vicinity into a bright red color. The red neon light is so transparent that it can be seen from 2000 meters away (December 1956, Mukuno, Yamaguchi Prefecture).
