Nichi-Ham Beef Mislabeling A food section where fresh meat products handled by Japan Food have been removed.
Beef Mislabeling Problem of Nippon Ham Beef The food section of a department store where raw meat products (right) handled by Nippon Food, a subsidiary of Nichiham, were removed. It is suspected that Nippon Ham, in connection with its project to purchase domestic beef to prevent BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy), mixed imported beef into the beef it incinerated without the government's permission to cover up the mislabeling.
