A puzzled look on the face of a Japanese cameraman who suddenly entered the BMP.
[With special permission from the Soviet Union's Far Eastern Military District Command, I visited a motorized sniper unit training for combat at a training ground on the outskirts of Khabarovsk, and got a close-up look at the faces of Far Eastern Army generals at a turning point in the midst of arms reductions and military reform under the Gorbachev administration. The Japanese cameraman who suddenly entered the infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) looked puzzled. Photo taken November 13, 1990, on the outskirts of Khabarovsk.
