Crystalline sulphur
Clear yellow sulphur crystals on a substrate of microcrystalline quartz spheroids. Sulphur or sulphur (symbol S) is an abundant chemical element. In nature, sulphur can be found both as the pure element and in compounds, such as sulphides and sulphates. Sample from El Desierto mine in Potosi, Bolivia. Actual height of specimen is 190 mm.
