Hornby azhdarchoid pterosaur and cat, illustration
Illustration comparing a Hornby azhdarchoid pterosaur (right) and a domestic cat (left). Fossils of this reptile were found on Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada. They dated to around 77 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous. This pterosaur is unusually small, with a wing span of around 1.5 metres.
