The title of the Spring-Summer 1977 show (ready-to-wear) was "Individuality Kagayake. Hanae Mori says at her Hanae Mori atelier in Akasaka, Tokyo, "The final product is the individuality of the person who wears it. Two and a half years after opening her first clothing store, Hiyoshiya, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in 1952, Hanae Mori is now one of Japan's leading fashion designers. Five years have passed since she opened her first shop, Hiyoshiya, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, in 1952, and now Hanae Mori is one of Japan's leading designers, having achieved great success in Paris Haute Couture (high-end custom-made clothing stores) and New York. The words "Cinderella wearing shoes of hard work" come to mind.
