Quebec-01 Missile Alert Facility, Wyoming, USA
Launch control station in the Quebec-01 Missile Alert Facility, Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA. This is a former launch control site for Peacekeeper nuclear missiles. The site is now a museum operated ,by Wyoming State Parks. Two Missile Combat Crew, or 'Missileers', in the underground control capsule could launch 10 independently targeted missiles, each of which carried 300 kiloton warheads. The site was in use until 2005 when the Peacekeeper missiles were decommissioned.
