Vicuna in scrubland
Vicuna (Vicugna vicugna) in scrubland. This is the smallest member of the camel family, reaching heights of one metre to the shoulder and weighing up to 65 kilograms. It lives in herds consisting of a dominant male, females and juveniles and feeds on grasses. Photographed in the Atacama Desert, Northern Chile.
