Asia, satellite image. Arctic sea ice is white, oceans are blue and land is green and brown. The North Pole is seen at top, with the Middle East at upper left, India at lower centre, China at lower right the upper part of Southeast Asia at bottom and Japan at right. City lights (yellow) in dark areas show areas of dense population, while those that are more sparsely populated have fewer lights. Image obtained using data from Landsat 5 and Landsat 7 satellites.
