Passenger aircraft construction. Turbo jet engine of an Airbus passenger plane being prepped and mounted on the strut which joins the engine to the wing. This assembly is designed not only to withstand intense mechanical stresses, but also to act as an interface between the engine and the aircraft. Vital systems such as precision piping, hydraulic circuits, cables and wiring have to be integrated into the structure.
